CABO SAN LUCAS on the tip of the Baja peninsula is a jewel steeped in fishing folklore offering some of the finest fishing to be found anywhere in the world. Major tournaments are staged here annually as shown in the above shotgun start picture taken from the world's richest Bisbees Black & Blue Marlin Jackpot tournament. The fast growing Los Cabos Billfish Tournament with a strong emphasis on release fishing and the very popular Western Outdoor News Tuna Jackpot are also held here along with the superb Pete's Sake Charity Tournament organised by a Croatian gentleman who lives in the famous Latitude 22 one of the better watering holes of the world to slake an anglers thirst after a day on the briny.

The species list is as endless as your horizons. Here in a place like no other the beautiful hostile lunar landscapes of the Baja Peninsula fall into one of the greatest fishbowls on earth where just offshore blue, black and striped marlin shadow the ever changing banquet of bait along with big wahoo, dorado and some mighty yellowfin tunas.

In winter there are swordfish. Summer currents bring big sailfish which stay well into the fall. A host of fighting fish prowl the inshore surf and rocky outcrops. World record sierra mackerel, powerful cubera snapper, "El Toro" (the bull) Pacific jack crevalle, pompano among others will straighten your string at any given opportunity.

There is another slayer of the unwary of world record proportions who lives here. The proud Zorro masked roosterfish. Once encountered will live in your soul forever........................

Take it from one who has the "T" shirt and others of my merry band who have crossed swords with this handsome hoodlum.

Anglers return here year after year so must be something drawing them back to latitude 22°.................

No bad days here just some are better than others

Serious fishing with lure bait or flyrod. A leisurely break with days on the water or  from the shore. Your trip to angling mecca will be a memorable one for all the right reasons. You see............

"We have what it takes"
